Prayer-full Opportunities

Posted by Diana Maria | Labels:

Healing Prayer Night

The final Healing Prayer night of the spring is THIS Thursday April 22nd, in the Wesley Prayer Chapel. If you have been trained to pray, the Healing Prayer Interns would love for you to come (we've really needed extra people to pray). If you have been trained, and want to pray on Thursday, you MUST be there at 7pm.

If people would like to receive prayer they can come anytime from 8-9:30pm.

The Healing Prayer staff said that they had been really praying into the theme of "Home". Per Holly, "We want HP night to be a place where people can come home, rest and relax."

Friday Night Fire

Friday Night Fire will be Friday night, April 23, with a full band, from 11 p.m. - 2 a.m.

Picture a beautiful spring day...gentle breeze, blue skies...and teeing off on the golf-course with your friends, parents, Bob (see above), and whomever else enjoys a good game of golf.

Where can I experience such a fun day, you may be wondering!

At the UGA Wesley Golf Classic is where!

Come join us at the annual Wesley Golf Classic on April 26 at the Georgia Club. To register contact Caren Dilts at carenlynn@gmail.com

Wait a second, others of you may be wondering. I hate golf. But I DO know of individuals who love to golf, and businesses that may be interested in sponsoring a hole or donating a prize!

Then PLEASE send that info Caren's way as soon as you can!

...And if you love golf and know of potential sponsors/donors as well, send that Caren's way too!

The Parking Police at Wesley

Posted by Anonymous | Labels:

We love you! We love it when you visit us at Wesley. Please, come hang out with us during the day!

But parking at Wesley and not being here, that's a little tough.

As you may have observed, the parking is extremely limited here at the Wes', and we are now rigorously patrolling the parking lot ticketing. If you are inside and get ticketed, come find a staff member and we'll take your name off the list. However, if you get ticketed once and you park here again without being in the building, we'll tow your car.

Please tell your friends.

There are going to be weekly outreaches starting up that you are ALL invited to be a part of! Their theme and goal is to be an extravagant blessing, and to bring the reality of Jesus to the streets. Listen out for these opportunities to join with them!

Current weekly events you can join in with are...
  • Athens PB & J on Sundays at 2
  • Downtown Sundays at 4:30
  • Alps Shopping Center Tuesdays at 5

1st Week Back Announcements

Posted by Ashley Plant | Labels:

Hey Leaders!!!

*Don't forget about "Eat the Book." We meet every Tuesday afternoon from 3:30 - 4:30 in the main chapel at Wesley. THIS week will be a recap of all that has been taught up until now. So, if you couldn't make it last year but really wanted to, you can come tomorrow and feel all caught up!! It is a wonderful time to dive into, grow in passion for, and learn how to read the Bible!!

*We have Leadership Prayer THIS Wednesday night before the service at 7:00 in the room attached to the Grand Ballroom at Tate (that's the same room as last year). Our very own Clay Kirkland will be leading us in prayer as David will be off to sit in hours upon hours of class. Jealous? I'm not.

*If you have questions about Morning Star, ask your discipler or talk to a director. No question is a bad question!

*Be looking out for more information on the Women's and Men's Retreats. They are at the end of this month. SO, save your money, pack your bags, and get excited!!!

MorningStar Weekend!

Posted by Anonymous | Labels: ,

The MorningStar Ministry Weekend is almost here! Woo-hoo!

A few things...

Don't forget about your individual encouragement time that you signed-up for (if you didn't sign-up for a time check the sign-up sheets at Wesley for openings). Please try to be early! Also, it's helpful to bring your discipler or a friend in with you to your personal encouragement time to write what words you receive, so you can just focus on what's being said at the time, and then have a list to be able to go back to later.

The big-group times are as follows:
Session one: Friday, 7:30 p.m.
Session two: Saturday, 10 a.m.-noon
Session three: Saturday, 7:00 p.m.
Session four: Sunday, 10 a.m.-noon

All of the large sessions are going to happen at Wesley (on Lumpkin Street) in the big chapel.

Let us know if you have any questions! See you soon!
